Excellent point!! I was at the just re-opened Orange Public Library (Orange, California) and their signs are in subject terms that almost anyone who reads English can understand. They still use Dewey.
And, the entire building has excellent signage all over that leads users to those areas they are looking for without having to resort to a map or ask at a desk.
